On
the spot I have known many interesting things about volcanoes. It turned
out that at the beginning of the development of our dear planet while
the nature was surely different, volcanoes had been masters of it – they
probably covered the whole surface of earth. It sounds truly dangerous.
Later volcanoes started appearing only along the huge interruptions
in the earth core. Volcanoes take place in the locations where tectonic
layers are separated or, on the contrary, they are united. As for nature,
it is various surely.
Volcanoes of the Pacific Ocean that I am talking about are the united layers.
As for Mauna Loa, which is on the Big Island, it is active volcano. Its
name is translated from Hawaiian as “a long mountain”. It rises
up to 120 feet. Its spew is rather molten that is why the slopes are slightly
sloping and it allows growing lots of plants and flowers, fruit and vegetables
on them. Virgin nature is striking and awesome. The black land is covered
with green grass and exotic flowers – not all to be said about this
island. The Hawaiian National Park is located on the island that is visited
millions tourist each year. Though its irruption was in 1984 and nothing
was destroyed actually, it is always dangerous to stay here, by the way.
Experts say that this volcano appeared 400 000 years ago and works nowadays
as well. Its processes of irruptions behave very dangerously – at
one moment they are weakening and at the second moment they are arising
with a new force. In 2004, for instance, everyone could watch the earthquake
starting at this spot.
One can find another attraction on the island – it is the Haleakala
National Park. We managed to visit it with lots of other vacationers. It
is huge and picturesque. The cascades of waterfalls and lakes are tantalizing
tourists’ appetites with its superordinary forests and buildings.
There are collections of ancient furniture, sculptures, pictures and other
arts in this park. We loved the Haleakala National Park very much. We were
lost there, by the way. A girl of 13who was speaking English rather fluently
helped find the way out of the garden.
The service was great. Cafes and restaurants were ready to please any tourist
visiting their places. Food and drinks were delicious. We tried a great
variety of tasty food: Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Maui and so on. I liked
tacos (Mexican dish) best of all. When I came back home I made an attempt
to cook them but, of course, I failed.
I didn’t say a word about our resting on the beach. Our Prince Hotel
is very close to water and it took us only five minutes to get to the beach.
Lying in the sun, breathing fresh air and swimming in azure water, we forgot
all our troubles and worries at work and just enjoying every minutes of
such a paradise. The nature around was really heavenly and caressing, that
is why we decided to delay our departure for a few days.
